Hotel Luna: stay-cation worthy and Vigan's history in one.
Travelling has increasingly become one of our many escape from our day to day's grueling schedule. Whether it be locally or abroad, it's always a good idea to go places where you can relax and forget just about anything you find stressful.
Most of the time we tend to look for places with beaches and resorts where you can just plunge yourself in and reward yourself with good food and a nice view. There's definitely nothing wrong with that, after all, it's one of the things that makes travelling memorable and priceless. But what if one day you wanted to take a break from all these crowded beaches and just go somewhere peaceful?
Vigan, Ilocos Sur is the place you're looking for and more. It is considered to be one of the country's surviving historical cities. It offers not only mesmerizing views and mouth - watering food but it also gives you the feels that you're being transported to a time when Jose Rizal was still alive and kicking. This is also where you can find the only museum hotel in the Philippines.
Hotel Luna, one of the local hotels in Vigan is definitely one of the best hotels the city has to offer.
From their courteous and very helpful staff, (seriously their staff is by far the most polite and accommodating people I have ever talked to in a hotel), they have delectable food choices,
features dozens of art collection, spacious and cozy rooms down to their swimming pool, you wont regret your stay here.
Even though they have colonial type of rooms- which is understandable since they're more of a museum hotel, I'm sure you wont be disappointed since their bathroom is really impressive.
Their CR specifically has this high end toilet you wont find in most of the hotels.
Their terrace located at the roof top is a plus! You wont mind staying there for hours since the view is nice and you can catch the breath taking sunset if you stay long enough. This also turns into a mini bar come night time.
Their calesa is also an upgrade! They have this Cinderella like horse carriage you can take from any part of the city. The place gives them an edge since they are located at the main
street which is very accessible to all the places you would want to visit. We went to Calle Crisologo which was just a few minutes away from the hotel and had our pasalubongs ready.
Upon checking out of the hotel we couldn't find a motorcycle so the staff graciously offered to take care of the matter. It really is one of the places you will want to visit again.
